Rays of Hope

Rays of Hope is a walkathon founded in 1994 with 500 walkers. The walk has grown into the largest single day fundraising event in western Massachusetts. The 19th annual Rays of Hope – A Walk Toward the Cure of Breast Cancer and 3rd annual Run Toward the Cure 8K was held on Sunday, October 28, 2012 in Greenfield and Springfield, MA.
In 2012, Rays of Hope raised $838,000 to benefit local breast cancer awareness, support services (including Cancer Connection!) and research. The 20th Anniversary event will be held on October 20, 2013.
Rays of Hope is a community-based event with over 250 male and female volunteers working to make a difference in the lives of their friends and neighbors. Rays of Hope's mission is to raise funds to improve the breast health of the people in our communities with quality and compassion in partnership with Baystate Health System's Comprehensive Breast Center
