We're always in need of Volunteers to support our work. If you'd like to help out in the office, work with our participants, staff an outreach table or help out with a fundraising event, let us know! Volunteer training is ongoing.

Volunteer Training for Working with our Clients

6-week training program

Tuesdays from 10am - Noon

Cancer Connection’s 6-week training program is designed for the special people who want to work directly with our clients. The course will help prospective volunteers understand the complexities of sudden diagnosis, decision making in the foreign country of oncology and personal upheaval and loss. Volunteers will learn listening skills, ways to empower clients to regain emotional and physical strength, and resources available to patients and their families along the cancer journey.

Special events assistance

We hold several events during the year to raise awareness as well as financial resources. If you would like to get involved and participate in an event or help as a volunteer, please complete a volunteer application and provide Anna-Beth Winograd with your availability and a phone number to reach you. Administrative help

There are numerous tasks in the office that keep Cancer Connection operating smoothly. Can you design flyers for upcoming workshops or help with mailings? If you’d like to help, call us and let’s discuss the possibilities.
